The Principle of Transparency in the Federal Administration has been in effect since 1 July 2006. This means that any person has the right to inspect completed official documents without having to demonstrate a particular interest. 

If you wish to view an official document of the Directorate for European Affairs DEA that was completed after 1 July 2006, please address your request to the General Secretariat of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs.

A fee is payable for processing your request. However, for requests that incur little expense, no charge will be made. Access to official documents can be restricted or refused in cases of an overriding need to protect public of private interests.
